SERGEANT BRIAN CRAIN
JENKS POLICE DEPARTMENT, OK
END OF WATCH: FEBRUARY 23, 2019
"TO EACH PERSON READING THIS, THANK YOU! THAN YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO TEL YOU ABOUT THIS AMAZING HUMAN BEING. BRIAN HAD A HEART OF GOLD! HE JOINED THE JENKS, OKLAHOMA POLICE DEPARTMENT IN JUNE 2000 AS A RESERVE OFFICER. HE KNEW HE WANTED TO GIVE HIS TIME TO HIS COMMUNITY AND WHAT BETTER WAY THAN TO PROTECT AND SERVE. HE WAS A RESERVE OFFICER FOR 4 YEARS BEFORE HE BECAME A SERGEANT FOR THE BUSIEST SHIFT. HE WAS THE CALMING PRESENCE NOT ONLY FOR THE CALLS HE WENT ON BUT FOR HIS OFFICERS WHO WORKED WITH HIM. HIS LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN GREATLY MISSED.
BRIAN AND i WERE MARRIED 9 WEEKS SHORT OF 20 YEARS. HE LEFT BEHIND 3 SONS, HUNTER, GAVIN, AND ETHAN. HE LOVED THE LORD AND SERVED BESIDE ME IN OUR CHURCH EACH WEEK. HE LOVED, LOVED, LOVED HIS BOYS! HE COULD SPEND HOURS GETTING THEM ALL WOUND UP BY WRESTLING THEM, SHOOTING THEM WITH NERF GUNS, OR JUST DOING ANYTHING TO MAKE THEM GIGGLE. ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEMORIES OF BRIAN IS HOW MUCH HE LOVED GUNS AND TEACHING PEOPLE, MAINLY HIS SONS HOW TO SHOOT! HE LOVED TO BUILD THEM, CLEAN THEM, SHOOT THEM, AND HOLD THEM!  HA!  HE ALSO LOVED PATROL CARS. HE WAS PLACED OVER FLEET AND HAD THE JOY OF ORDERING THE UNITS, OUTFITTING EACH UNIT, AND PLAYING WITH ALL THE LIGHTS! HE HAD TO MAKE SURE HIS UNIT HAD THE MOST LIGHTS OF ALL! WE USED TO LEAD OUR TOWN PARADES BECAUSE HE WAS ALWAYS DECKED OUT IN LIGHTS. HIS UNIT STILL PATROLS THE STREETS IN TRUE BRIAN FASHION!
THIS SWEET MAN LEFT THIS EARTH AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 47 AND IS GREATLY MISSED BY SO MANY!  THANK YOU FOR CARRYING HIS FLAG AND GIVING HIM THE PROPER HONOR HE DESERVES!"
